A pre-ceremony commemorating the 78th Martyrs’ Day was successfully held at the self-established Spring School located in the Tamu border area. During the ceremony, teachers from the school provided detailed explanations to students about the life journeys, national contributions, and sacrifices of the nine martyrs, including General Aung San, who fell in service to the nation. The teachers shared comprehensive accounts of the martyrs’ dedication to the country’s independence and their roles in Myanmar’s struggle for freedom.
The event featured students participating in public speaking competitions about the historical significance and importance of Martyrs’ Day. Additionally, students created and displayed artistic works, including paintings of the martyred leaders and their contributions to national causes. Through their creative abilities and artistic expressions, the students demonstrated their respect and honor for the martyred leaders. The competitions and exhibitions served as platforms for students to deepen their understanding of this significant historical event.
The organization of such ceremonies aims to help the new generation understand the sacrifices made by the martyred leaders and to cultivate a strong sense of national spirit. The Spring School, which provides educational opportunities for children of internally displaced persons, continues to foster national values and democratic principles. The school serves as an important institution in maintaining historical awareness and nurturing patriotic values among the younger generation while providing essential education services to communities affected by conflict.
