
The 78th Martyrs’ Day commemoration ceremony was held today, July 19, at the Myanmar Black Tiger (MBT) Battalion Headquarters in Myingyan District, Mandalay Region. The ceremony was attended by battalion officials and personnel, who conducted the commemorative events according to the prescribed program. The ceremony included paying respects and tributes to the martyred leaders who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
Martyrs’ Day is observed annually on July 19 throughout Myanmar to remember the significant sacrifices made by national leaders in the country’s struggle for independence. General Aung San and other martyred leaders gave their lives in pursuit of Myanmar’s independence. Their patriotism and sacrifices continue to be remembered and honored by the people of Myanmar. The day serves as a reminder of the ultimate price paid by these leaders in their quest for the country’s freedom and sovereignty.
