
In Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region, the Youth Force Strike Column and local young people jointly organized a marathon event covering approximately 14 miles through 9 villages to commemorate the 80th birthday of State Counsellor and public leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. During the marathon, participants wore blue shirts printed with messages promoting democracy and liberation.
Along the marathon route, young people conducted political awareness talks for residents of various villages. They also sang solidarity songs together and held prayer sessions for the release of public leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners who have been unjustly detained. The youth wore blue shirts printed with messages about freedom from fear and continued struggle for the liberation of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and the entire country.
This marathon event represents a democratic movement by young people and demonstrates their respect, trust, and loyalty to public leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. The youth organized this activity with the aim of raising morale in their struggle for the end of military dictatorship, the flourishing of democracy, and the emergence of a just society. The event connected nine villages across the township, allowing participants to spread their message of democracy and freedom while showing solidarity with their imprisoned leaders and fellow citizens who remain in detention.
