The disaster has severely disrupted the daily lives of local residents, with many losing their homes and livelihoods. The KIO and the entire Kachin community have expressed their profound sympathy for those affected by this natural disaster.
The KIO has committed to providing all possible assistance for the rehabilitation of affected areas and will collaborate with organizations and volunteers involved in rescue operations.
