
The Kaytinshimasha Village People’s Strike Column in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region, held a public movement event commemorating State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s 80th birthday. During this event, participants collectively prayed for the release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners who have been detained following the military coup. This movement represents a significant part of the people’s democratic revolution under military dictatorship, demonstrating loyalty and support for the people’s leaders.

While Yinmabin Township continues to endure oppression under the military dictatorship, the people’s democratic movements remain unabated. Local residents continue their democratic revolution with sacrifice and determination, despite threats, arrests, and torture by the violent military council. Such public movements demonstrate that the spirit of resistance against the military dictatorship among Myanmar’s people remains undiminished.
