MANDALAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta council raided and inspected seven private hospitals in Mandalay and is reportedly preparing to shut them down over accusations of employing CDM employees, according to the healthcare community in Mandalay.
Terrorist junta forces raided Panhlaing Hospital in Mandalay around 11 a.m. on February 7 and blocked off the entrances to look for a CDM orthopedic doctor. After failing to find the doctor, they asked for the personal information of the doctors employed at the hospital then accused the hospital of employing CDM personnel and ordered to shut it down.
It is said that the junta council has ordered to shut down seven public hospitals in Mandalay: Panhlaing Hospital, Myat Cherry Hospital, Myat Waihlyan Hospital, Mingalar Myosatt Hospital, London Hospital, Ziwaka Hospital and Nyein Chan Hospital.
“The junta dogs (junta forces) raided and inspected Panhlaing Hospital on February 7. They reportedly went there, following the news that a CDM orthopedic doctor was working there. They blocked off all entrances after entering the hospital then conduct searches. The junta dogs also went through the computers in the hospital. They then ordered to shut down the hospital,” said a source from the Mandalay healthcare community.
At present, the junta council is said to be scrutinizing the licence durations of the hospitals while the hospitals have appealed against the order to shut down. Some hospital owners are also said to be working to negotiate with the junta council’s Ministry of Health.
The terrorist junta council had previously repealed the licences of Nandaw Hospital, Myodaw Hospital and Gangaw Hospital in Mandalay on January 1, 2023 on accusations of employing CDM personnel and taking part in the revolution. Since the military coup, the terrorist junta council has murdered a total of 133 CDM healthcare professions.
