
KARENNI STATE – The terrorist junta council bombed Nanphe Village Tract in Bawlakhae Township, killing a woman and destroying a home stall, reported an official from the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) Information Department.
The village was bombed around 9 p.m. on February 6 and the woman who was the vendor at the stall was killed while the stall was also destroyed.
“It happened around 9 p.m. last night (February 6). The junta council bombed a stall in Nanphe Village Tract. The shopkeeper, a woman, was killed. We heard there was only one death,” said the official from KNDF Information Department.
Meanwhile, Karenni revolutionary forces are locked in heavy clashes against the junta council forces in Mobye at the border of Shan State and Karenni State and the frontline sources reported that the junta council is carrying out airstrikes targeting villages and civilian zones.
Fighting intensified between the revolutionary forces and junta troops in Mobye starting February 5 and it is said that the junta council launched an offensive with a massive number of troops while also conducting airstrikes day and night.
“The junta council is conducting a heavy offensive towards Mobye. Many of them are newly conscripted soldiers. There are also continuous airstrikes,” reported a revolutionary source on the frontline.
