A fierce battle broke out in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, when military council forces attacked a People’s Defense Force (PDF) outpost, resulting in at least 20 casualties among military council troops, according to a senior official from the Central Myanmar Revolutionary Forces. The incident occurred around 6:30 AM on June 2, when approximately 70 combined forces of military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members from Letharpyu village launched an attack on the PDF outpost near Tuyinbo village.
The fighting continued throughout the day until around 5 PM, resulting in more than 20 casualties among military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members. During the battle, one PDF member was killed, and six others were wounded. The military council forces were forced to call for reinforcements from Myingyan town, and they only retreated after three military vehicles arrived in the evening, as revealed by the official from the Central Myanmar Revolutionary Forces.
The defensive operation involved the coordinated efforts of multiple resistance groups, including the Central Myanmar Revolutionary Forces, Shwechaun Guerrilla Force, Nagani Guerrilla Force-Myingyan, MP 9 PDF, People’s Star People’s Defense Force, Myingyan Township PDF, Myingyan District Drone Force, Myingyan District Battalion 2, and Wolf Guerrilla Force. The successful coordination between local revolutionary forces enabled them to effectively repel the military council’s attack on their position.
