Intense fighting has erupted in Salin Township, Magway Region, between military council forces and revolutionary forces. On March 16, in the afternoon, the Bamar Army intercepted and attacked an armored military vehicle traveling from Salin to Sinphyukyun town, resulting in one soldier’s death. During the attack, one soldier was fatally shot in the head, another sustained injuries to his hand, and several other soldiers were wounded in the engagement. The military vehicle was carrying approximately 20 soldiers when it was ambushed.
The military council has significantly increased its presence in Salin Township, deploying tanks, armored vehicles, Mi-35 helicopters, naval vessels in the river, and infantry units as part of their ongoing operations. Revolutionary forces continue to launch daily counter-attacks against the military council’s operations.
