The incident occurred on September 9th when KIA forces lured and trapped a military column that was attempting to attack the Nyaungpinkwin camp near Shraw village in Hpakant Township, which was under the control of combined KIA forces. During the battle, 20 military personnel were killed while approximately 10 remaining soldiers retreated and fled the area.
Currently, intense fighting continues throughout the day near Nyaungpinkwin camp in the vicinity of Shraw village, with the military conducting two airstrikes in the area. The bodies of the deceased soldiers have not yet been retrieved. Additionally, heavy fighting has broken out near the LBC Christian Church in Lamran village, Waingmaw Township, Kachin State, where the military has launched another offensive operation.
