
According to KIA military sources, 20 soldiers were killed when the military column advancing into Hpakant Township, Kachin State, was ambushed and attacked. The incident occurred on September 9th when KIA forces lured and trapped a military column that was attempting to attack the Nyaungpinkwin camp near Shraw village in Hpakant Township, which was under the control of combined KIA forces. During the battle, 20 military personnel were killed while approximately 10 remaining soldiers retreated and fled the area.
Currently, intense fighting continues throughout the day near Nyaungpinkwin camp in the vicinity of Shraw village, with the military conducting two airstrikes in the area. The bodies of the deceased soldiers have not yet been retrieved. Additionally, heavy fighting has broken out near the LBC Christian Church in Lamran village, Waingmaw Township, Kachin State, where the military has launched another offensive operation.

Throughout the day-long engagement, the military conducted five airstrikes, while combined KIA forces managed to destroy one military armored vehicle. Reports indicate that the military is currently deploying thousands of new conscripts into Kachin State through multiple columns, while simultaneously maintaining continuous air attacks. Local civilians have reported that these military operations and airstrikes have been occurring without interruption throughout the region.
