
The Ah Nyar Heroes group has confirmed significant casualties among military council troops following an artillery attack on Pyu Saw Htee village in North Kan Han, Gangaw Township, Magway Region. The attack, which occurred on June 29, resulted in approximately 20 casualties, including military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members. Revolutionary forces successfully withdrew from the area without sustaining any casualties after the operation.
This attack was carried out in response to the military council troops’ brutal burning and killing of two revolutionary fighters in North Kan Han village. According to local sources, military council troops have been systematically perpetrating violence in the region, including torture of innocent civilians, looting of property, and arbitrary arrests and detentions. The military council’s oppressive actions have intensified as they struggle to maintain control over the area.
Local residents report that revolutionary forces have strengthened their presence in the North Kan Han region, while the military council’s control has significantly weakened compared to previous periods. The military council has responded by escalating violence against civilians and utilizing Pyu Saw Htee groups as armed organizations in their attempts to regain control of the area. Local residents have expressed support for the military successes of revolutionary forces, viewing them as necessary resistance against the military council’s ongoing oppression and violence in the region.
