Four soldiers from the military council were killed when People’s Defense Forces intercepted and attacked a military column that departed from Singu Police Station in Nyaung-U Township, Magway Region, according to a representative from the Bagan Bo Cho PDF. On April 28, around 5:30 AM, approximately 60 military council troops arrived at Singu Police Station from Chauk town in two military vehicles. When they attempted to advance towards Yay-nan-chaung area around 5 PM, they were ambushed by Bagan Bo Cho PDF and allied forces.
During the engagement, four military council soldiers were killed instantly, and their bodies were subsequently burned after the battle. The People’s Defense Forces successfully withdrew from the area without suffering any casualties, according to the official. The PDF representative stated that they will continue to intensify their resistance against the military dictatorship and urged civilians to contribute whatever they can to support the revolutionary forces with ammunition and weapons funding. The successful operation demonstrates the ongoing resistance against the military council’s forces in the region, with local defense forces maintaining their offensive capabilities while protecting civilian populations.
