A spokesperson from the Special Task Force Ngazun has confirmed that four military council soldiers were killed when resistance forces attacked their vehicle with mines as they were traveling from Tada-U Township to Ngazun Township in Mandalay Region. The incident occurred around 1:46 PM on June 23, when revolutionary forces targeted a white vehicle carrying approximately 40 military council troops traveling from Gwekone Gate in Tada-U Township to Myotha Industrial Zone in Ngazun Township. The resistance forces deployed six Padesaya mines along a section of the road during the attack.
During the attack, four military council soldiers were killed instantly, while 19 others sustained injuries, with two of them reported to be in critical condition. Following the mine attack, the bodies of the deceased soldiers and the injured were immediately transported to Myotha Station Hospital. Although the military council troops fired randomly from their vehicle during the incident, no resistance force members were reported injured in the engagement. The successful operation was carried out through the coordinated efforts of Battalion 6 Division 3 of Myingyan District, Battalion 6 Division 2 of Myingyan District, and the TGYR Youth Guerrilla Counter Revolution Ngazun group.
In the aftermath of the attack, revolutionary forces have requested civilians to avoid traveling on the Tada-U-Myingyan-Ngazun-Hsimin Kaung-Myotha-Wetlu road between 8 PM and 5 AM for their safety. This security measure has been implemented to protect local residents from potential military retaliation and ensure their safety during the ongoing conflict between resistance forces and the military council in the region.
