The Anya Pistine Thaung Lay Group has provided three meals worth of food donations to two long-term internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in Sarlinkyi Township on behalf of donors. These donations were successfully delivered to displaced civilians taking shelter at two separate camp locations. The residents of these IDP camps were forced to flee their homes due to the military council’s heavy artillery attacks and village burnings in the area.
The displaced people staying in these camps face significant daily challenges regarding food and basic necessities. There are particular concerns for children, elderly residents, and pregnant women who require regular access to food and healthcare services. These donations therefore provide crucial support for the displaced civilians. The Anya Pistine Thaung Lay Group is working to maintain regular assistance to these IDP camps whenever possible, according to sources. The ongoing humanitarian support remains essential as these communities continue to be displaced by military operations in the region.
