The Anyar Resistance Group has made food donations on behalf of donors to four internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in Salingyi Township, where civilians have been forced to flee their homes due to military council offensives. The donation consisted of one meal’s worth of food for the displaced people staying at these four locations, aiming to provide whatever assistance possible to help address the dire food security situation faced by these displaced communities.
Due to ongoing military operations by the junta forces in Salingyi Township, local residents have had to abandon their homes and are currently taking shelter in IDP camps. These displaced civilians face numerous daily challenges in meeting their basic needs for food and shelter, while also dealing with uncertainty about when they might be able to return to their homes. The Anyar Resistance Group coordinated these food donations through the generosity of donors who wanted to provide immediate relief to those staying in the four IDP camps.
The displaced people sheltering in these camps are heavily dependent on donations from benefactors for their daily survival needs. Due to the military council’s offensive operations, they are unable to engage in their regular livelihood activities and have been forced to flee their homes. Food donations are therefore critically important for these displaced communities. The Anyar Resistance Group has indicated that they will continue to provide necessary assistance to internally displaced people as needed. This humanitarian support remains crucial as the displaced civilians continue to face challenges accessing basic necessities while being unable to return to their homes due to ongoing security concerns in their villages.
