
On June 19, flower strike movements were conducted in Yinmabin and Salingyi Townships of Sagaing Region to commemorate the birthday of public leader Aung San Suu Kyi. Local residents organized flower strikes to honor Aung San Suu Kyi, placing floral arrangements, garden displays, and decorated signs with flowers throughout the townships.
In Yinmabin Township, protest activities decorated with bouquets and flower arrangements were observed along main roads, with local people using flowers as symbols for peace. Similarly in Salingyi Township, flower strike activities were carried out, with signs decorated with flowers alongside photographs of Aung San Suu Kyi being displayed.
This flower strike movement represents the public’s support for Myanmar’s democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi and serves as a peaceful form of protest. Local residents used flowers as a peaceful means to express their opposition to the military dictatorship system, demonstrating their resistance through non-violent symbolic action.
