
YANGON DIVISION – The workers at Thilawa port who witnessed the incident reported that employees of Elite LPG company caught and handed over the two young men to junta army. The youths have been seized for military service on a naval ship docked at Thilawa Port in Yangon.
The mentioned young men jumped off from the naval ship and swam away, at around 8 p.m. on February 8 into the port yard of Elite LPG Company. The two young men were chased and captured by the company’s security guards and handed over to the junta army.
The army’s retired Major Aung Myint Thein, the security leader of Elite LPG Company, led to seize and handed over the youths to the military. The two arrested youths are a 19-year-old youth from Hlegu Township and a 24-year-old youth from Htauk Kyant Township. They were taken forcibly by the junta’s navy while they were on their way to Dala.
Elite LPG Company, which is affiliated with the fascist army, has 3,000-ton of liquefied petroleum gas storage facility in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone. The company has its own port, and storing liquefied petroleum gas with own tanks.
