
A senior official from Special Commando Battalion P29914 has confirmed that eight military council soldiers were killed and a significant cache of weapons was seized during an attack on military council troops stationed in Ohnpinsu village, Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region. The battle, which took place on June 6, saw resistance forces successfully engage with and defeat a military council unit of over 30 personnel, resulting in the complete control of Ohnpinsu village by revolutionary forces.
During the engagement, military council camps in Natthankwin and Kyaukkyi towns provided artillery support to their forces. Despite this support, the effective offensive by resistance forces resulted in eight military council casualties and numerous injuries among their ranks. The resistance forces managed to capture substantial military equipment and ammunition from the military council troops, including 580 G3 rounds, various types of weaponry such as 10 40mm grenades, 11 RPG ammunition, 9 RPG rounds, 7 MA grenades, one RPG-7, one MA11, 5 hand grenades, 7 14-mines, 3 forward mines, 3 MA ammunition boxes, one mine detector, and other military supplies.
The operation was a coordinated effort involving Special Commando Battalion P29914, KNLA Battalions 8 and 9, Atthawarkar Column, Battalion 3702, Yangon PDF, and Ayeyarwady PDF. This successful military operation has been recorded as a significant victory for the resistance forces. The Special Commando Battalion official stated that they would continue to treat military council soldiers as enemies in their operations.
