A representative from the Yesakyo Allied Forces has confirmed that revolutionary forces conducted three drone strikes against a military water checkpoint in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. The attacks were carried out on August 23rd, 27th, and 28th, targeting the military’s water checkpoint at Seitnan Water Pumping Station, using more than twenty bombs during the operations.
The targeted location was reportedly manned by approximately twenty military personnel, with military vessels occasionally docking at the site. While there were reports of at least two soldiers being wounded in the August 27th attack, these casualties could not be independently verified. Although the military forces responded with gunfire during the attacks, the revolutionary forces were able to successfully withdraw without suffering any casualties. The checkpoint serves as a strategic position where the military conducts inspections of vessels traveling along the waterway.
The attacks were carefully planned and executed, with scout drones being used to survey the target area before launching the strikes, according to the Yesakyo Allied Forces spokesperson. Currently, ongoing clashes continue between the military and revolutionary forces throughout Myingyan Township, with the military frequently conducting offensive operations in the area. Reports indicate that local civilians continue to face oppression under military control, as the conflict in the region persists. The military maintains its presence along key waterways, using checkpoints like the one targeted to maintain control over transportation routes and civilian movement.
