
In the eastern part of Ayartaw Township and western part of Wetlet Township, the Ayartaw Township East GenZ Defense Force and Wetlet Revolution Force jointly organized a celebration ceremony for State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s 80th birthday. During the ceremony, they served 28 containers of ice cream to revolutionary forces and local civilians while offering birthday wishes. The local people prayed for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s health and liberation.
In Katha Township, women’s affairs, youth and children’s affairs officers, village defense forces, people’s police force, and human rights officers jointly organized a birthday commemoration ceremony for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. The ceremony included offering alms to Buddhist monks and listening to dharma teachings. Following this, they read a brief biography of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and held discussions about democracy.
As part of the ceremony, poems honoring Daw Aung San Suu Kyi were recited, and birthday cake cutting and well-wishing ceremonies were conducted. The attending public offered prayers for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s health and well-being, as well as for Myanmar’s democracy and peace. Participants at the ceremony expressed that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi remains a crucial leader in the Myanmar people’s journey toward democracy.
