
On March 12, the Daung Thwe Ni Strike Column conducted a peaceful protest march against the military dictatorship in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. The Daung Thwe Ni Strike Column is an organization that has been continuously active in promoting people’s power and working towards the complete eradication of the military dictatorship. Protesters carried signs showing support for the National Unity Government (NUG) and People’s Defense Forces during the demonstration.
During the protest, demonstrators called for opposition to the military dictatorship, condemnation of the military coup, and the establishment of a federal democratic system. The Daung Thwe Ni Strike Column highlighted the oppression, human rights violations, and economic decline that people are suffering under military rule. They also condemned the military group’s violent oppression that has resulted in civilian casualties, arrests and detentions, and forced displacement of people from their homes.
Participants in the protest expressed their commitment to continue fighting unitedly against the military dictatorship and stated they would persist in their activities without losing momentum until democracy is achieved. They emphasized the need for all people to unite in opposing and fighting against the military dictatorship system, as civilians have lost their freedom, justice, and human dignity under military rule. The protesters urged continued resistance until the complete elimination of the military dictatorship that has been oppressing the people of Myanmar.
