
On June 5, activists from the Daung Thwe Ni Strike Column conducted a protest against the military dictatorship in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. The protesters marched through the city streets carrying flags and holding signs opposing the military dictatorship. The Daung Thwe Ni Strike Column carried banners demanding democracy and an end to military rule, while calling for the restoration of people’s power.
Participants in the protest carried signs showing support for the National Unity Government (NUG) and People’s Defense Forces. They demanded an end to the oppression, human rights violations, and arbitrary arrests that civilians are suffering under military rule. Local residents showed their support for the protest and joined the demonstrators in solidarity with their cause.
Yinmabin Township is one of the areas in Sagaing Region with strong anti-military dictatorship movements, and the Daung Thwe Ni Strike Column is an organization that continues to actively work for democracy. The strike column has announced that they will continue their activities against the military dictatorship system.
