
On March 21, the Daung Thwe Ni (Red Peacock Blood) strike column conducted a peaceful protest march against the military dictatorship in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. The protest column marched through the city streets in an orderly manner with the support of local residents, demonstrating for the complete end of the military dictatorship and the emergence of a federal democratic system.
Protesters carried signs supporting the National Unity Government (NUG) and People’s Defense Forces, along with placards and posters opposing the military dictatorship. Local residents showed their support for the demonstration. The protest column was able to march through the city streets for an extended period without any incidents of violence.
Yinmabin Township is one of the areas in Sagaing Region where anti-military dictatorship activities remain strong, with local residents actively opposing the military regime. Today’s protest by the Daung Thwe Ni strike column has helped boost the morale of people fighting against the military dictatorship, according to local residents. The demonstration represents the continued resistance of Myanmar’s people against military rule and their determination to achieve federal democracy.
