The extent of civilian casualties from these airstrikes has not yet been confirmed. Notably, these attacks were conducted on civilian villages without any ongoing battles in the area. Following the initial airstrikes, the military forces continued their assault using armed drones to bomb the villages. According to a local resident, the jet fighter from Tataung-U conducted three separate bombing runs targeting villages east of Pyu Saw Htee village. While no immediate reports of civilian casualties have been received, the attacks were specifically directed at residential areas where civilians live.
The military council forces have also begun heavy artillery shelling in Chaung-U Township since this morning.
