According to statements from revolutionary forces, two civilians including a child were killed and 18 others were injured due to the terrorist military council’s airstrikes and artillery attacks in Myingyan, Bilin and Kyaikto townships. On July 3rd at around 3 PM, the military council conducted an airstrike on Waw Village in Myingyan Township despite no ongoing battles in the area, resulting in the death of one child and injuries to seven people including an infant, as reported by the Mandalay People’s Defense Force.
Additionally, artillery fire from military forces in Myingyan town targeting Waw Village killed a 75-year-old elderly man and injured approximately 10 others. A local humanitarian worker assisting displaced persons reported that while there are few direct battles in the Myingyan area, the military frequently conducts indiscriminate shooting, preventing many residents from returning to their villages due to fears of airstrikes and military column advances. The military maintains primary control over Myingyan town itself.
On June 26th, artillery fire from Infantry Battalion 2 under Division 44, which is based in Laykai Village in Myit Kyo area of Bilin Township, Mon State, struck within Laykai Village itself, damaging two houses. Subsequently, on June 29th at 10:43 AM, Artillery Battalion 310 of the military council fired artillery shells at Kyauk Yay Twin Village in Win Kan Village Tract, Kyaikto Township, destroying one house and injuring a civilian named Daw Htay. These incidents demonstrate the military council’s ongoing attacks against civilian areas across multiple regions.
