
One civilian was killed and three others, including children, were injured due to airstrikes and artillery attacks by the terrorist military forces in villages within Gyobingauk Township, Bago Region, and Thaung Tha Township, Mandalay Region, according to local residents and a representative from the Thaung Tha Township Public Movement Committee. On July 4, around 2 PM, military council troops stationed in Wainaut Su Wine village in Oaktwin Township fired artillery shells, with some landing on a school in Nyaung Pin Ain village, Gyobingauk Township, resulting in injuries to two children.
One of the injured children, identified as Naw Mi Nyoe, was taken to Pyay Public Hospital for treatment. Among the two injured children, one is in critical condition while the other sustained injuries to their hand, according to a local resident. The military’s artillery attack involved three shells, with two landing on the outskirts of the village. In Thaung Tha Township, on July 3 around 11 AM, military council troops stationed in Tamoketha village arrested and killed a civilian who was passing near a building where they were holding other villagers as human shields.
Previously, on June 27, the terrorist military attacked the area near a school in Ngwe Taung village, Thaung Tha Township, using three military helicopters to drop nine bombs. The attack destroyed one civilian house and injured a nine-year-old child. Local residents reported that these deliberate attacks by the military council have resulted in civilian casualties, particularly affecting children, with some losing their lives. They stated that the military council is committing war crimes against civilians in violation of international law.
