
In Zaritmyaw village, Minle Township of Bago Region, the military council forces conducted arson attacks and arrested innocent civilians, using them as human shields. On July 2nd at around 11 AM, military council troops entered Zaritmyaw village and began setting fire to properties. During the arson attack, they arrested five women who were hiding in the village – Daw Thin Thin Oo, Daw Pa Pa, Daw Athay, Daw Mi Cho, and another woman.
The military council forces took these five women to the village monastery in Zaritmyaw, where they are being held as human shields. According to local sources, the women have not been released and remain detained at the monastery. A local resident reported that the military forces discovered and arrested the women while they were conducting their arson campaign throughout the village.
Furthermore, on July 3rd at approximately 3:55 PM, military council forces conducted drone strikes on Thawkun village in Minle Township. The attack resulted in the destruction of three civilian homes belonging to Ma Nila Win, Ko Aung Than Zaw, and Daw Sein Mya Kyi. During the drone strikes, Daw Sein Mya Kyi, schoolteacher Ma Yi Htay, and her daughter sustained severe injuries. The military forces also conducted additional drone strikes near the Kantin Beelin (also known as Kyway Ma Kaing) Dam area around 4 PM the same day.
