
Local sources and residents have reported that the military council is conducting continuous airstrikes using helicopters and fighter jets against villages in Myaing Township, Pauk Township in Magway Region, and Kani Township in Sagaing Region. On September 16, airstrikes were carried out in these townships, forcing local residents to flee to safety amid growing fears. The military attacks have severely disrupted civilian life in these areas, with many residents seeking shelter in forests and safer locations.
In Myaing Township, two military helicopters from the 101st Division in Pakokku conducted bombing raids on villages in the northwestern part of the township at around 4:50 PM. Similarly, in Kani Township, two helicopters from the Northwestern Command launched attacks on villages in the southern part of the township after 6 PM. In Pauk Township, an SU-30 fighter jet from the Naypyidaw Ela Air Base conducted airstrikes on a village in the northwestern part of the township at approximately 12:42 PM. These coordinated attacks have created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among local residents.
While the extent of civilian casualties from these military council airstrikes remains unconfirmed, the continuous nature of these aerial attacks has forced villagers to abandon their homes and seek refuge in forests and safer areas.
