Civilians in the eastern part of Pauk Township, Magway Region, have been forced to flee to safety following airstrikes conducted by the military council using Y-12 aircraft. According to local residents, the military council’s Y-12 aircraft dropped 35 bombs on villages in the area, beginning around 5 PM on September 1. The systematic targeting of civilian areas has caused widespread displacement as residents seek shelter from the ongoing attacks.
Currently, villagers are evacuating their homes and seeking refuge in safer locations due to the military council’s aerial bombardment. The extent of civilian casualties and injuries remains unconfirmed at this time. According to a local resident, the Y-12 aircraft has been continuously circling and bombing the villages, making it impossible for civilians to remain in their homes, forcing them to flee for their lives.
Additionally, on August 31, the military council conducted six separate bombing raids using Y-12 aircraft on villages in eastern Pauk Township, which had also forced civilians to evacuate to safety. While no civilian casualties were reported from the previous day’s attacks, the ongoing aerial assaults have created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among the local population. The continuous nature of these airstrikes has left civilians with no choice but to abandon their homes and seek shelter elsewhere, as the military council continues its campaign of aerial bombardment against civilian areas.
