Additionally, on March 14 at 1:54 PM, the military council’s Infantry Battalion 264 fired three 120mm artillery shells into Kanyin Kyun village in Shwegyin Township, resulting in damage to one house. The KNU stated in their report that civilians in the Klerwehtoo District are living in constant fear for their lives as the military council continues to deliberately target civilian populations with acts of violence.
Due to the military council’s airstrikes and artillery attacks, local civilians continue to suffer damage to their homes, educational facilities, and infrastructure, while innocent civilians sustain injuries. Local residents and human rights organizations have reported that the military council is committing war crimes against civilians, violating international law and humanitarian standards. The ongoing attacks have created an atmosphere of terror among the local population, who must struggle daily with the threat of violence while trying to maintain their basic survival.
