
The Karen National Union (KNU) Central has reported that one civilian was injured and two houses along with a school were damaged due to airstrikes and artillery attacks by the military council in Shwegyin Township (Saw Htee Township), Bago Region. On March 15 at 1:50 PM, fighter jets from the military council’s air force based in Naypyidaw dropped two 300-pound bombs on Thettunkone village in Shwegyin Township. The attack resulted in injuries to a 50-year-old male resident of Thettunkone village and caused damage to one house and the village school.
Additionally, on March 14 at 1:54 PM, the military council’s Infantry Battalion 264 fired three 120mm artillery shells into Kanyin Kyun village in Shwegyin Township, destroying one house. According to the KNU’s statement, the military council continues to target civilians with acts of violence, causing innocent civilians living in the Klerwehtoo District to struggle daily for survival amid great fear and concern for their safety. The residents are living under constant threat as the military council deliberately targets civilian areas with their attacks.
