During the attack, 78-year-old Daw Khin Sein sustained injuries, though they were not life-threatening. Two buildings within the Forest Office compound were destroyed in the airstrike. Local residents reported that the military council forces have been conducting military operations in the area while deliberately targeting civilian areas. The military council’s repeated airstrikes in Sintguu Township have resulted in civilian casualties and destruction of property, leaving local residents living in constant fear.
Local sources indicated that the military council forces have been committing war crimes against civilians in retaliation for PDF activities in the region. The military’s targeting of civilian infrastructure and residential areas has become increasingly common, causing significant concern among the local population. The attack on the Forest Office compound is the latest in a series of airstrikes that have affected civilian areas in the township, demonstrating the military council’s continued use of disproportionate force against civilian targets.
