
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office located along Aung Mingalar Don Road in Insein Township, Yangon Region, was attacked with a large remote-controlled mine on the evening of March 19. According to a representative from the Rangoon Urban Column, several security personnel were injured in the attack, with one seriously wounded person being transported to the hospital. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM on March 19, and by 8:30 PM, military and police forces had set up checkpoints along Aung Mingalar Don Road. According to local residents, the security forces conducted thorough vehicle inspections, checking private cars, taxis, and all passing vehicles. These security measures continued until approximately 9:00 PM. The extensive security response highlights the impact of the attack on military council operations in the area.
To enhance the effectiveness of such operations, the Rangoon Urban Column has called for increased ground intelligence from Yangon residents. The organization emphasizes the importance of civilian cooperation in providing accurate information about ground situations.
