The incident occurred around 8:00 PM, resulting in casualties among the security forces. Following the attack, military council forces implemented strict security measures in the surrounding area and conducted thorough inspections. According to a local resident, military and police forces began vehicle checkpoints on Aung Mingalar Don Road around 8:30 PM, continuing their inspections until 9:00 PM. They stopped and searched both private vehicles and taxis during this security operation.
This attack targeted one of the military council’s key control facilities, the Criminal Investigation Department office, indicating that revolutionary forces continue to maintain active operations within Yangon city.
