
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office located along Aung Mingalar Don Road in Insein Township, Yangon Region, was attacked with a large remote-controlled mine. According to a representative from the Rangoon Urban Column, the attack resulted in injuries to several security personnel who were on guard duty. The incident occurred at 8:00 PM on March 19, and one person who sustained severe injuries was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
A local resident from Insein Township reported witnessing extensive security checks being conducted by military and police forces on Aung Mingalar Don Road around 8:30 PM. The security forces were thoroughly inspecting military vehicles, police vehicles, private cars, and taxis. These security checks continued until approximately 9:00 PM, according to the resident’s account. The heightened security measures were implemented immediately following the attack on the CID office.

This initiative aims to improve surveillance of the city’s security situation and contribute to the safety of civilians.
