The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office located along Aung Mingalar Don Road in Insein Township, Yangon Region, was attacked with a large remote-controlled mine on the evening of March 19. According to a representative from the Rangoon Urban Column, several security personnel were injured in the attack, with those severely wounded being transported to the hospital for treatment.
The attack occurred around 8:00 PM, after which military council forces and police units conducted extensive security checks along Aung Mingalar Don Road. Local residents reported that strict vehicle inspections were carried out from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with authorities thoroughly searching all passing vehicles, including private cars and taxis. A local resident confirmed that the security forces conducted comprehensive checks on all types of vehicles without exception during this period.
The Rangoon Urban Column has requested residents of Yangon to assist in strengthening their ground intelligence network by reporting military council troop movements, security checkpoints, and other relevant information through their Telegram channel in real-time. They believe that such information sharing will help in more effectively resisting the military council’s oppressive actions. The resistance group emphasizes the importance of timely and accurate information from civilians to support their operations against military council forces who continue to suppress civilian populations throughout the region.
