A local resident from Insein Township reported witnessing security forces and military personnel conducting vehicle checkpoints along Aung Mingalar Don Road around 8:30 PM. The security operations continued until 9:00 PM, with thorough inspections of private vehicles and taxis being carried out in front of the CID office and near the Red Office area. Military trucks and police vehicles were deployed to facilitate these security checks, according to the resident’s detailed account of the incident.
The Rangoon Urban Column has encouraged Yangon residents to strengthen ground intelligence by connecting through their Telegram account to share information about ongoing situations. This attack is part of the continuing resistance activities during Myanmar’s Spring Revolution against the military dictatorship. The incident demonstrates the ongoing targeting of key military and police infrastructure, which are considered primary control mechanisms of the military regime. The attack on the CID office, a significant law enforcement facility, represents another strategic strike against military council-controlled institutions in the urban areas of Yangon.
