
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office located along Aung Mingalar Don Road in Insein Township, Yangon Region, was attacked with a large remote-controlled mine. According to a representative from the Rangoon Urban Column, the attack occurred at 8:00 PM on March 19, resulting in injuries to several security personnel who were on guard duty. Those who sustained severe injuries were immediately transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
A local resident from Insein Township reported witnessing extensive security checks being conducted by military and police forces on Aung Mingalar Don Road around 8:30 PM. The checkpoints were established in front of the CID office and near the Red Office area, where authorities were inspecting military vehicles, police vehicles, private cars, and taxis. These security checks continued until approximately 9:00 PM, according to the resident’s account. The heightened security measures were implemented immediately following the attack, indicating the significance of the incident.
The Rangoon Urban Column has requested Yangon residents to assist in strengthening ground intelligence by sharing information through their Telegram account. This attack represents part of the ongoing resistance against the military regime, with revolutionary forces targeting key institutions under military control. The incident highlights the continuing struggle between resistance forces and the military council, which has been marked by various tactical operations aimed at disrupting military-controlled administrative and security infrastructure throughout the country.
