
A Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office located along Aung Mingalar Don Road in Insein Township, Yangon Region, was attacked with a large remote-controlled mine on March 19 at 8:00 PM, according to a spokesperson from the Rangoon Urban Column. The attack resulted in injuries to several security personnel, with those severely wounded being transported to the hospital.
Following the incident, at around 8:30 PM, military council security forces conducted intensive vehicle checks along Aung Mingalar Don Road. According to local residents, military vehicles, police vehicles, and civilian vehicles were thoroughly inspected with lights on. These security checks continued until 9:00 PM. The area saw increased security presence and stricter checkpoints following the attack.
The targeted CID office serves as a crucial military council operational facility involved in surveillance and investigation of revolutionary activities. Local residents reported that security measures in the area have been significantly heightened since the attack, with increased military presence and more stringent checks. The Rangoon Urban Column has requested local civilians to continue providing ground situation updates through their Telegram channel, emphasizing the importance of maintaining information networks during the ongoing resistance against the military council.
