According to a representative from the Rangoon Urban Column, several security personnel were injured in the attack, with one seriously wounded person being transported to the hospital. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM on March 19, after which military and police forces conducted extensive vehicle checks along Aung Mingalar Don Road. Local residents reported seeing military vehicles and police cars stopping and searching private vehicles and taxis in front of the CID office and near the Red Office area from approximately 8:30 PM until 9:00 PM. A local resident confirmed the heightened security measures, describing how both civilian vehicles and taxis were thoroughly searched during this period.
The Rangoon Urban Column has called on residents of Yangon to strengthen ground intelligence by reporting information through their Telegram account. This request for civilian cooperation in gathering ground intelligence highlights the importance of public participation in resistance efforts. The organization emphasized that such intelligence gathering is crucial for the success of revolutionary activities and that civilian involvement plays a vital role in their operations against the military council’s presence in urban areas.
