Revolutionary forces in Chin State have successfully captured all remaining military council outposts in Mwal Pi village, Tedim Township, forcing military council troops to retreat as far as Kalay town, according to Chin revolutionary military sources. The battle, which began around 6 AM on July 5th, continued until after 5 PM, resulting in significant casualties among military council forces. The operation marked a decisive victory for the revolutionary forces in their ongoing campaign to liberate the region from military control.
The offensive was led by the Chin National Army (CNA) in coordination with PDF Zoland and the Chin National Defense Force (CNDF). Following the successful operation, revolutionary forces have been conducting security and clearance operations in the area. This latest victory follows earlier successful operations from June 26th to 28th, during which three military council outposts in Mwal Pi village were captured, resulting in over 15 military council casualties, the seizure of weapons and ammunition, and the capture of several soldiers.
This military success demonstrates the increasing operational capabilities of revolutionary forces in Chin State and represents a significant decline in the military council’s territorial control. The revolutionary forces continue their efforts to protect local civilians’ security and rights while resisting the military council’s brutal actions in the region. The complete capture of these strategic positions marks an important development in the ongoing resistance against the military council’s oppression of civilians in Chin State.
