CHIN STATE – A Chin revolutionary source confirmed that the last remaining military base in Mindat township, Infantry Battalion – 274, was attacked and captured by Chin Brotherhood Alliance (CBA), and the entire Mindat Township was now free of military personnel.
On the morning of December 21, CBA had attacked and captured the last remaining military base, Infantry Battalion – 274, and the CBA will soon make an official announcement to the public.
Starting from November 9, the Chin Brotherhood Alliance launched a Town-capturing Operations in Mindat and Falam townships. They had attacked and captured San Min Thiri Zedi Kone (hill), the staff housing complex (San Pya Ward), the district construction compound, the Tower Taing Kone (hill), the hotel (Mindat), Mya Lay Pwint Zedi Kone (hill) and 4-mile Kone (hill) during the Mindat Town capturing battle. They continued to attack the Mindat District/Township Police Station and Infantry Battalion – 274. On December 15, a total of 123 junta soldiers and police personnel from the Mindat District/Township Police Station, along with their families, surrendered.
“Only the Infantry Battalion – 274 remains. It has been captured now,” said a Chin revolutionary source.
