Revolutionary forces and local residents in Nyaung Toe Gyi Township, Yangon Region, held a birthday commemoration event on June 19 to mark the 80th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. The ceremony took place at the General Aung San statue in Nyaung Toe Gyi town, with revolutionary group members and local citizens gathering to participate in the event.
During the ceremony, revolutionary members offered prayers and well-wishes for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s health and release, as well as for the liberation of Myanmar’s people from the authoritarian system. The participants also made resolutions for the success of the revolution and collectively prayed for the complete elimination of the military dictatorship. Attendees brought photographs of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to the event and pledged to continue their struggle for democracy, human rights, and justice.
