
The Danger Force Special Operations Unit of Monywa District PDF has reported that three battles occurred in Ayartaw Township, Sagaing Region, between June 19 and 20, resulting in the deaths of five military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members. More than ten others from the military council’s side were also seriously injured during these engagements.
The first battle took place on June 19 near Ngwe Twin Pyu village, approximately 800 meters from the area. The second battle occurred on June 20 near U Kyar Si Bridge, close to Ngwe Twin Pyu village in Ayartaw Township. The third engagement involved targeting a military council-appointed ward administrator named U Aung in Ayartaw town. These operations were jointly conducted by revolutionary forces including the Danger Force Monywa District PDF Special Operations Unit, Monywa District PDF, Ayartaw Township PDF, Monywa District Battalion 21, NDRF forces, and other allied groups.
The Danger Force Monywa District PDF Special Operations Unit has been continuously active since the military coup in 2021, conducting protest column movements, military operations, training exercises, battles, production activities, drone operations, artillery operations, and patrol activities. They have appealed to people both inside and outside the country to contribute ammunition, weapons, and funds to support their ongoing resistance efforts against the military council.
In Tanintharyi Region, resistance forces also attacked a military council convoy traveling from Myeik to Tanintharyi, as reported by the Bo Karing Force. On the morning of June 19, revolutionary forces conducted a mine attack on a six-vehicle military convoy near Palm Oil Hill, between Yan Phoe and Kan Toe villages. The ensuing firefight lasted approximately 15 minutes, with potential casualties reported on the military council’s side. This operation was carried out through coordination between Bo Karing Force, KNLA Battalion 11, Myeik District PDF, and PDF Zone 3. The attack demonstrates the continued resistance activities against military council forces across different regions of Myanmar.
