
A clash between the military council forces and revolutionary forces in Ye Phyu Township, Tanintharyi Region, resulted in the death of two military council soldiers and one revolutionary fighter, according to the Kanbauk Defense Force. Additionally, the military council forces arrested and killed two innocent civilians. The incident occurred on May 1 at approximately 10:30 AM near Sein Bone village in Ye Phyu Township, where revolutionary forces from Dawn Column 3 launched an interceptive attack against military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee members who were conducting what they claimed to be a clearance operation in the area.
During the battle, the revolutionary forces lost some weapons and ammunition, while military council troops conducted arbitrary arrests and interrogations of local civilians. The two civilians killed by military council forces were identified as a 39-year-old man and a 40-year-old man from Three Pagodas village. Furthermore, a 45-year-old woman from Nat Gyi Sin village was arrested and is currently being detained at the Mawrawaddy Naval Base, according to reports.
The military situation remains tense around the Three Pagodas and Sein Bone village areas. Revolutionary forces have warned local residents to avoid traveling to these areas. The revolutionary forces have reported that the ongoing arrests, killings, and intimidation of innocent civilians by military council troops continue to pose serious security concerns for local residents. The military council’s actions have created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty in the region, with civilians facing constant threats to their safety and well-being.
