A graduation ceremony for battalion formation and training, involving officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of Battalion No. 6 in Pakokku District, was held on March 18. During the ceremony, the district correspondent in charge delivered an opening speech, and battalion officials gave encouraging words to the graduating trainees. This type of graduation ceremony indicates increased military training activities among the military council’s forces.
The military council has been facing troop shortages due to ongoing conflicts across the country, leading to forced military recruitment of civilians and mandatory military training programs. They have been conducting various military training courses under the pretext of maintaining internal discipline and enhancing military capabilities. However, the military council forces have suffered significant casualties and been forced to abandon outposts due to offensive operations by People’s Defense Forces and Ethnic Armed Organizations.
