
SHAN STATE (SOUTH) – According to IPDF (Inle People Defense Force), four junta council troops including a junta council sergeant were reportedly killed during the battle which broke out near Yaepu village, Nyaung Shwe township, Southern Shan state.
It has been reported that a confrontation broke out between the revolutionary alliance forces and the combination of the junta council troops who were stationed in Yan Kin village, Hti Yi village and Htaminchodat pagoda hill and Pa-O National Army, on February 30. The battle broke out as the junta council combination forces conducted offensive attacks towards the creek which is located in the east of Yaepu village.
The battle lasted for 15 minutes and the junta council troops retreated towards Htiyi village after their formation was disarrayed. The revolutionary alliance forces also attacked the retreated junta council troops using drones. Due to the drone attacks, four junta council troops including a sergeant were said to have been killed and three troops including a troop from PNA were injured.
That attack was jointly carried out by 1009 battalion (IPDF), Pekon People Defense Force (PK PDF-2), 1006 battalion, Bee Column and Southern Shan Revolution Youth (SSRY).
