
The National Unity Government (NUG) spokesperson U Kyaw Zaw has warned that Myanmar cannot achieve peace and stability if ASEAN continues to ignore the violent actions committed by terrorist military leader Min Aung Hlaing and his council against the Myanmar people. He emphasized that the military council continues to perpetrate daily violence against civilians, and ASEAN needs to take effective action to address the situation.
In Kalay Township, Sagaing Region, revolutionary allied forces successfully attacked a military council column that had entered Kyan Thar village. The engagement resulted in the death of 27 military council troops. The resistance forces managed to seize weapons and ammunition along with the bodies of the fallen soldiers. Additionally, they successfully hit and damaged a Mi-35 helicopter that had arrived as reinforcement, according to confirmations from both the Chinland Information Center and CNA spokesperson Salai Htet Ni.
In Mandalay, despite being under military council control, the Shwe Zamanee gold shop was robbed, with 23 ticals of gold stolen. This incident clearly demonstrates the breakdown of law and order under military council administration. The deteriorating security situation in major cities has left civilians increasingly concerned about the safety of their lives and property, as fear and anxiety continue to rise among the population.
