The Anya Pit Taing Thone Lay Group has donated a meal on behalf of a donor to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at a camp in Saltlin Gyi Township, who were forced to flee their homes due to the military council’s brutal offensives. The donation consisted of a carefully prepared meal delivered to one IDP camp location. These displaced civilians had to abandon their homes due to heavy artillery shelling and airstrikes by military council forces, and are now seeking shelter in safer locations.
The Anya Pit Taing Thone Lay Group has been providing food supplies and necessary assistance to displaced civilians as much as possible. People taking refuge in IDP camps face numerous daily challenges regarding food, shelter, and basic necessities. The situation is particularly difficult for children, elderly people, and pregnant women who face increased hardships regarding food, medicine, and living conditions. Therefore, food donations represent a crucial humanitarian aid effort for these displaced civilians.
Due to military council offensives, residents from villages in Saltlin Gyi Township have been forced to flee for their lives and safety. Food security remains a primary challenge for people living in IDP camps. The displaced populations are only able to survive thanks to support from donors and aid providers. However, they face increasing difficulties as the military council continues to block and restrict humanitarian aid deliveries. The situation highlights the ongoing humanitarian crisis faced by internally displaced persons in Myanmar as they struggle to meet their basic needs while living in temporary shelters away from their homes.
