On March 15, the Anya Pit Taing Thone Lay Group donated a meal to an IDP camp in Saltlin Gyi Township, where displaced people from Monywa city have taken shelter due to the military council’s operations. The donation was made on behalf of a donor with the aim of providing assistance to help address the daily survival challenges faced by internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Following the military coup, local residents have been forced to flee their homes and seek refuge in temporary IDP camps due to the military council’s offensive operations, ground campaigns, and airstrikes. These displaced civilians face numerous difficulties in meeting their daily needs, including access to basic necessities such as food, education for children, and healthcare services.
This food donation initiative aims to provide some relief to the IDPs’ daily survival challenges. The Anya Pit Taing Thone Lay Group has previously provided necessary assistance to displaced civilians and will continue to support them in the future. This humanitarian effort represents ongoing support for communities affected by the conflict, helping to address immediate food security needs of those who have been forced to leave their homes due to military operations.
